Good six months for port of Nanchang

According to figures released by Nanchang it handled a total of 28,872 TEU of which just over a third was destined for export while the rest was related to domestic trade. The port of Nanchang is located on the Gangjiang River, a tributary of the Yangtze, and has become an important feeder for Jiujiang port, in which Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) holds a 92% share.

In 2009, the two ports signed a strategic alliance resulting in an increase of the number of regular calls from 20 a week to a dozen daily.
