Pipavav Begins Double Stack Hi-Cube Rail Service

The second Indian port with Hi-Cube double stack capability - transit times and costs to interior points are reduced. The very first double stack high cube container train left APM Terminals Pipavav on July 17th, carrying 180 TEUs destined for Container Corporation of India (CONCOR's) new double stack hub at Kathuwas in the northwest Indian State of Rajasthan.

Port of Rotterdam throughput decreased slightly

Throughput in the port of Rotterdam in the first half of the year decreased by 0.9% compared to the first half of 2012. This was primarily caused by a reduction in the shipment of crude oil. Other sectors were unable to offset this reduction.
