Mansuri returns to AIS after previously serving as its chief information officer and is committed to delivering integrated, advanced solutions to support essential operations of the trucking community and associated stakeholders from around the world.
“We’re delighted to welcome Parvez Mansuri and his extensive experience in the industry back to the Advent family,” said a statement issued by the AIS board of directors. “His dedication to excellence and proven track record of leadership will guide Advent as we embark on a plan to update our eModal platform to leverage the latest IT and mobile technologies. Parvez has proven an innate ability to drive innovation and growth wherever he has served and will help ensure that Advent continues to deliver services to the intermodal logistics community that makes their lives easier.”
Mansuri has more than 20 years of experience and a deep wealth of knowledge in the intermodal industry. In 2001, Mansuri first joined AIS and in 2003 was named the company’s chief information officer. During this time, he oversaw and led a variety of projects, including the creation of gate appointment systems for multiple marine terminal operators; the development of Chassis.com, a fully integrated solution for chassis management; and the promotion and delivery of the company’s Port Community System into new markets. In 2011, Mansuri started a new venture called Wireless Asset Management, and maintained his relationship with Advent as an advisor and a member of the company’s board of directors.
“I am delighted to have been asked to return to AIS as CEO and at the prospect of leading the company during this transitional and vital time,” said Parvez Mansuri, CEO of AIS. “My goal for the company is to ensure steady growth and bring the latest IT trends and tools to the intermodal community to help them work more cooperatively and efficiently. To this point, I’m encouraged that the first of many planned updates to our eModal platform was recently announced because it represents a first step towards making our systems more user-friendly, intuitive and ultimately more valuable to its users.”
AIS also announced today new updates to its eModal platform as part of a planned 2016 redesign of the system. eModal is the world’s largest Port Community System (PCS) for managing all aspects of the intermodal supply chain. eModal is a cloud solution and enables users to manage truck registries, appointments, dispatching, chassis rental billing and fee payments. Supply chain stakeholders can use eModal to share data and connect with one another, providing complete visibility of accurate and timely data from a central portal.
