Terberg produces its 25,000th vehicle

Last Friday, Terberg manufactured its 25,000th vehicle at their manufacturing plant in Benschop in the Netherlands. This vehicle is part of a significant order for DFDS in Denmark. DFDS operates a large fleet of Terberg RoRo tractors in ports in North and West Europe and has been a Terberg customer for almost four decades.

ICTSI Oregon Inc issues statement on impact of Longshoremen delays at Terminal 6

ICTSI Oregon, Inc. issued the following statement in response to the International Longshore and Warehouse Union's (ILWU) long-term efforts to delay shipping activity at the Port of Portland's Terminal 6:

The ILWU has escalated its efforts against ICTSI Oregon, Inc. as of late, far beyond what other West Coast ports are experiencing. During the busy 2014 holiday season, ILWU engaged in approximately 36 work stoppages and slowdowns of various types and for varying durations.

More cargo and passengers in Rostock

26.2 million tonnes of goods (gross) were handled via the port facilities in Rostock last year. This was three million tonnes or 13 percent more than in 2013. 24.2 million tonnes of freight were loaded and unloaded at Rostock overseas port. According to the port and shipping authority another 2 million tonnes were moved at the cargo and fishing port, the chemical port and other port facilities.

Stena Line continues to increase passengers on North Sea Route and offers 100% reliability

2014 saw continued growth of Stena Line's passenger numbers and car volumes, building on the figures recorded in previous years. The ferry operator transported 132,000 cars on its Harwich-Hook of Holland service through the course of the full year - an increase of 7.3% year on 2013.
