In line with the design concepts already successfully adopted in the F500 Series reachstackers, the new ECH series of CVS Ferrari features the latest generation computer controlled load sensing hydraulic distribution valves and variable displacement piston pumps.
The use of this hydraulic technology as opposed to more conventional hydraulic controlled load sensing hydraulics, grants a much more rapid and finely tuned response to the power demand with the result that fuel consumption is further optimized, operational speeds are improved and the engine is protected from durability harming stalls.
The management of the hydraulics is run by a powerful automotive on-board computer that also provides several other driver’s aid functions like for example the Automatic Lifting. This being a function that under a simple push button driver’s command lifts the spreader at the precise and required height with no need for the driver of auctioning the joystick. The operation is performed in total safety thanks to a Dynamic Load Moment Limiter that also controls maximum allowed driving speed and residual stability.
With a 4,750 mm long wheelbase and a 2,900 mm wide steer axle, the CVS Ferrari ECH range is featuring top in class longitudinal and lateral stability. The power is assured by either VOLVO 8 liters or Cummins 7 liters engines available in Euro 3a or 4/4F emission compliant versions. The transmission is DANA TE17 and the drive axle the heavy duty and wide track Kessler D91 model.
The new product family also features the pressurisation of the hydraulic oil tank. This, along with the computer management of the hydraulic oil temperature through a thermostatically controlled massive cooler, is keeping the oil clean and cool such that service intervals have been sensibly extended without the need of additional filtration systems. The spacious universal ARIA Cab is in line with the intended high performance and rich accessorised product concept and also features a pressurising climatisation system that helps keeping the operator’s environment cleaner and healthier. An optional tilting of the cab is also available.
The first quarter of 2016 has been for CVS the best ever quarter in history with order books having reached already 70% of the entire 2015 turnover.
