CIS is a privately operated rail terminal that moves freight between Cordele and the Port of Savannah. This agreement with Kia will bring up to 30,000 containers per year into the rail terminal.
Cordele Intermodal Services currently utilizes one SANY reach stacker in their daily operation. With this expansion CIS has added another SANY reach stacker. The new SRSC4545C2 is capable of lifting 50 tons and it can stack containers 5 units high. CIS is excited to have this machine because it will allow them to reach over the first set of tracks and lift loaded containers off the back set of tracks. The new SANY reach stacker will greatly increase the productivity of the Cordele rail terminal.
