Appointment of Bromma President

Mika Virtanen has been appointed President of Bromma effective as from 1 September 2016. Mr Virtanen will be based in the Bromma head office in Singapore. Virtanen has for many years held different senior management positions in Bromma and Cargotec.

Port Everglades and the Panama Canal Authority renew MOU

Port Everglades and the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) have renewed their long-standing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote trade opportunities for another five years. This renewal will extend their strategic alliance to 2021. The MOU solidifies both entities' dedication to growth and best customer practices. The ACP and Port Everglades first signed an MOU in August 2009.

Valenciaport handled a record 4.62 million TEUs in 2015

Valenciaport handled a record 4.62 million TEUs in 2015, ending the year as the leading port across Spain and the Mediterranean. This is certainly good news for the organisation who have been slowly dropping down the rankings of the 'Top 100' losing a place per year since 2011 when it ranked at number 30, having slipped to 33rd position in 2014. As well as hitting record container volumes the port also reached new heights in total traffic figures achieving a 4.44% increase. DEME awarded contract for Freetown terminal extension project in Sierra Leone

A consortium including the Belgian dredging, environmental and marine engineering group DEME, the French construction group Eiffage and Eiffage's subsidiary RMT Clemessy has been awarded a 47 million euros contract for the extension of the Freeport Terminal in Sierra Leone.

There is no stopping DP World’s Jebel Ali Port

It seems that there is no stopping DP World's Jebel Ali Port in the United Arab Emirates. Once the brand new USD850 million state-of-the-art semi-automated Container Terminal 3 (T3) Jebel Ali Port is fully complete later this year, Jebel Ali's capacity will reach 19 million TEUs.
