The CMA CGM 'Benjamin Franklin', which has a container capacity of 18,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) or 9,000 40-foot-long boxes, arrived Thursday morning 18th February at Pier J's Pacific Container Terminal (PCT).

New refrigerated cargo storage facility to be constructed at Port of Houston Authority's Bayport Container Terminal

The first phase of a 300,000-square-foot temperature-controlled cargo facility will be built at the Port of Houston Authority's Bayport Container Terminal by AGRO Merchants Group, which provides cold supply chain operations globally. Upon completion, the new facility will add significantly to the state-of-the-art infrastructure that's already in place at Bayport, which opened in 2007 and is one of the newest container facilities on the Gulf Coast.

King Ocean looks long-range at Port Everglades

Marine terminal operator King Ocean Services Limited (Cayman Islands) Inc., has renewed a 20-year lease agreement with Broward County's Port Everglades. The agreement calls for a minimum 72,000 container lifts annually over an initial 10-year term with two five-year renewal options.
