Meridian Port Services (MPS) invested USD 1.5bn to expand the infrastructure of Tema Port in Ghana, one of the most important container ports in the sub-Saharan region, with a completely new state-of-the-art container terminal.

After lengthy, meticulous planning, Haifa Port has just launched a single ground-breaking website which in effect is six different websites, presenting the Port’s activity in three languages attractively and transparently, all in real time.

The Port Authority has unveiled its “Port Master Plan 2050,” a comprehensive document that lays out a flexible roadmap for the next generation of land-use and infrastructure development projects at the Port of New York and New Jersey, allowing it to remain among the nation’s leading maritime gateways, while continuing to generate hundreds of thousands of jobs and billions in economic activity.

The Estonian terminal operator HHLA TK Estonia, a fully owned subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), is strengthening its position as a RoRo hub in the Baltic region. Finnish ferry company Eckerö Line recently began connecting the port of Muuga, where HHLA TK Estonia operates a multi-function terminal, with Vuosaari in Finland. 

JLT Mobile Computers has strengthened its long-standing relationship with global port operator ICTSI (International Container Terminal Services, Inc.) with the deployment of its VERSO™ 12 computers at the operator’s new container terminals in Papua New Guinea.

Through the first eight months of Jacksonville Port Authority’s (JAXPORT’s) fiscal year 2018-2019, the port is on pace to achieve records in container TEU volumes and auto units. 

South Carolina Ports Authority handled record cargo volumes at the Port of Charleston in fiscal year 2019.  

Tariffs continue to impact cargo traffic at the Port of Long Beach, where volumes declined in June compared to the same month in 2018.

In March 2019, CCT Alpherium, an inland waterway container terminal located in Alphen aan den Rijn, a mid-size town in the western Netherlands, received their second Konecranes Flow Drive reachstacker in as many years, and placed an order for a third one.
