Dover goes into premiership in Carbon Reduction Performance League Table

The Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) requires organisations using over 6,000 MWh of electricity each year to measure and report on their carbon emissions.  Published by the Environment Agency, scores are based on the percentage of the company’s emissions that are covered by a good energy management accreditation and the installation of smart meters to give detailed information on energy use.  With 22 companies ranked joint first, with a weighted score of 2,092.50, the Port was not far behind with a weighted score of 2,040.  The lowest score achieved was 402 and the average 1,052.

Bob Goldfield, Chief Executive, Port of Dover said; “we are delighted that, as one of the world’s busiest ports we have achieved such a high ranking in this prestigious league table, confirming our on-going commitment to excelling in environmental management.”
