Konecranes Lift Trucks has identified the Turkish market as having good potential with opportunities both in the industrial and container handling field. “We are now looking at strongly establishing ourselves in the country through the cooperation with Portunus. Turkish customers are seeking high-quality products to support their productivity. At the same time they demand a very high service level including product support and parts. New distributor in Turkey
Portunus was established in 1992 and was one the first private Turkish company to deal with container handling equipment. The company is a major supplier to the Turkish ports sector, delivering equipment, services and spares for many years and with great success. With 22 years’ of experience in the port service, Portunus is capable of providing the wide range of services its customers demand. Today, through the new cooperation with Konecranes, Portunus aims to add significantly to its traditional ports & terminals customer base. They will now also begin servicing heavy industries such as iron and steel as well as cement factories, paper and pulp and the forestry industries alongside mining.
