The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 38.9 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods and works:
— reconstruction of existing berths Nos. 7, 8 and 9
— capital dredging
— supply of cargo handling equipment including
— port cranes
— port tractors and semi-trailers
Tendering for the civil works contract expected to begin in the second quarter of 2011. Tendering for equipment is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011. Tendering for dredging is expected to begin in the first quarter 2014. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country.
