Meeting with Guillermo Ruiz de Teresa –General Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine of the Secretariat of Communications and Transport of Mexico; Fernando Gamboa Rosas, Director General of Port Administration and Development, and Raúl Torre Gamboa, Director General of API Progreso, the AAPA representative set out the objectives of what is expected to be one of the most outstanding port events of the year in this part of the continent.
During the meeting, the senior officers analyzed the progress made and the subjects to be examined in the academic agenda, which will focus on the Future of Latin American Ports, presenting the trends of an ever-changing market, and sharing the insights of prominent specialists regarding economic, logistics, and port projections to keep on the table the next 25 years.
Through its senior leader, the CGPMM pledged strong support for the Congress and confirmed the active participation of the 16 APIs that make up the Mexican port network. He also confirmed that the Mexican ports will be hosting the Closing Dinner, to end the business agenda with a flourish.
On the other hand, Díaz-Balart recalled that the Merida Congress will be a special edition, commemorating the Silver Anniversary of AAPA´s Latin American Congresses, for which the organizing team is preparing a series of very special activities as part of the celebration of such an important event.
