Klaipeda Port sees 22.6% increase in cargo throughput

As a result, Klaipeda Port remains ahead of neighbouring Ports of Riga and Ventspils but slightly left behind the Port of Tallinn. The highest increase in cargo throughput during the six month period was reached due to an increased handling of dry bulk cargo, while general cargo increased by23.3%.

Klaip?da Port maintained its position as leading port in the East Baltic region for containerised cargo. In the first six months it handled a total of 210.604 TEU – an increase of 49.3% compared to the same period in 2010.
