Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company launches a new regular service to Siberia

The first train of 93 containers was dispatched from the VSC terminal. Its destination is Inya-Vostochnaya station (city of Novosibirsk) and ultimately the terminal of its partner – CJSC Eurosib. Currently this is a weekly service, but as the volumes grow the company plans to increase the number of services to 2-3 per week.

Novosibirsk bound fast container train carries consumer goods. Currently a return direction freight traffic – from CJSC Eurosib – is also growing. Cargoes for loaded return trips include timber and chemical products consigned to the Asia Pacific region. This allows to optimize the costs of container and flat car return trips, and fosters export shipments. Cargoes for loaded return trips also include cargoes for coastal services designated for the residents of the northern regions of the Russian Far East.

This is the second fast container trans service from the VSC terminal to the Siberian region. The first one to Kleschikha Station of the West Siberian Railways was launched in September 2009.
