Given these circumstances, the organisers, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH and their local partners, Goca Exhibitions, have concluded that it would not be economically feasible to proceed with the event originally scheduled for 24 and 25 February 2016. Hamburg Messe will reevaluate the Turkish market and the political environment for the year 2018.
Benoit de la Tour appointed President, Navis and head of software business in Kalmar
Benoit brings with him more than 20 years of experience in developing global software business and deep knowledge of supply chain software applications and related services. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Ciena, a global supplier of telecommunications networking equipment, software and services. Prior to that, he worked for Microsoft Corporation as Vice President, EMEA and Latin America, tasked with growing and developing Microsoft’s Enterprise Business Applications Division (ERP, CRM). He has also held different senior management positions for Infor Global Solutions, world’s third largest Enterprise Application Software company, and Information Builders Inc., a worldwide Business Intelligence software company.

GCT Deltaport grows capacity with Konecranes RTGs
The new equipment will boost yard velocity at the country’s flagship container terminal, densifying container handling with the RTGs’ 1-over-5 high and 40 LT lifting capacity.
The RTGs will join an advanced equipment fleet equipping GCT Deltaport to be big ship ready, smoothing any volume surges from the largest vessels calling the facility. Considered among the most sophisticated in their class, the Tier 4f cranes will be hydraulics-free, featuring diesel fuel-saving and active load control technologies that will optimize container handling and environmental performance.

The first six RTGs will be delivered fully erect in Q2 2016, with the rest of the fleet arriving in Q1 2017.
Port Bronka and CMA CGM sign a long-term agreement
CMA CGM is the third largest container shipping company with a total fleet capacity of 1,807,298 TEU. The company serves more than 400 ports over the world and is one of the largest container shipping operators in St. Petersburg, including reefer containers.
Today CMA CGM calls at St Petersburg under four regular services, connecting St Petersburg through the European hub ports with all international routes. The calls at Port Bronka will be performed in accordance with a regular schedule with actually operated vessels with capacity up to 1,800 TEU.
Due to the approach channel and basin depth of 14.4m, the modern cargo handling equipment for post-Panamax vessels operations, and the design solutions Port Bronka for the nearest decades will stay the leading Russian port in the Baltic basin and can represent an attractive alternative to the hub ports for handling of the large container fleet. Long-term relations with the new port determined in the signed agreement will allow CMA CGM line sustainable improvement of the services and modernization of the operated fleet with new building of higher size ice class vessels delivered in 2016, including development of the new routes for shipments to Russia and entry to the new markets.
