Dover Harbour Board seeks further modernising powers

Dover Harbour Board have today advertised a Harbour Revision Order (HRO) seeking further modernising powers. It will forever embed the power for the Board to appoint two community directors, which in turn will strengthen the links between the Port and its community as envisaged in the Ministerial statement made in April 2014.

The world's largest container ship, the 19,100 TEU CSCL Globe, has made its maiden call at the Port of Felixstowe in the United Kingdom. The ship is operated by China Shipping Container Line on its AEX1 (Asia Europe Express) service with the port of Felixstowe its first port of call in Europe.

Consortium wins USD 233 million claim in Panama Canal dispute

18,300 TEU Vessel calls APM Terminals Maasvlakte II

The 18,300 TEU Triple E-Class Marstal Maersk became the largest vessel to call at the new APM Terminals Maasvlakte II expansion in the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The vessel arrived on Monday morning January 5th as part of the testing phase prior to regular weekly calls starting in February. The vessel is 399mlong and 59m wide and sails in Maersk Line's AE10 Asia/Europe service with the next port call in APM Terminals Tangier, Morocco.
