The International Associaiton of Dredging Contracts (IADC) has published their "Dredging in Figures" - an annual review of the global dredging market. The document focuses on the global dredging and maritime construction industry in 2013.

PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS), a joint venture between Indonesian port operator Pelindo 3 and DP World, has selected Identec's Container Position Detection (PDS) system solution to provide process automation across their yard operations.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority and the rail terminal RSC Rotterdam have reached agreement on a new 20-year lease. To position the terminal more broadly and therefore more effectively, the ownership base has been expanded with several partners.

The targets are:
- Operating profit (EBIT) margin exceeding 8%
- Return on capital employed (ROCE pre-tax) exceeding 13%
- Gearing below 50%
- Dividend 30-50% of earnings per share

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has implemented their SmartStack solution at Durban Container Terminal (DCT) in South Africa for real-time container inventory reporting and management. This is the first terminal to implement Kalmar SmartStack using the narrowband communication network involving re-engineering from the standard WiFi deployment.
