Cargotec is investing approximately EUR 35 million in building an innovative Technology and Competence Centre in Tampere, Finland, during years 2011-2013.

The South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) today launched a new voluntary program to help truck owners replace older trucks with newer, cleaner rigs.  That means truckers can earn some extra green, while they go green at the same time.

Two super post-panamax gantries have been delivered to stevedoring company Seayard for use at one of the two Fos 2XL container terminals being completed at leading French cargo port Marseilles Fos. The cranes arrived by barge from Trieste and were met by three tugs to assist them alongside the newly-named Seayard Terminal ahead of a two-day discharge operation.

The Port of Kiel is to increase its cruise ship handling capacity. In time for the 2013 cruise shipping season the port will extend its Berth No 1 at the Ostuferhafen so that cruise ships of 300 m and over can berth there and exchange passengers.
