Minister visits DP World London Gateway

Shipping Minister Mike Penning MP has been walking across a brand new piece of Britain - where this time last year there was nothing but water. New land, enough to fill 4,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools, has so far been created at the London Gateway deep sea port and logistics park, which is under construction on the Thames in South Essex. Accompanied by DP World CEO Mohammed Sharaf and London Gateway CEO Simon Moore, Mr Penning was invited to view the new land being created as part of the works.

India's Visakhapatnam container terminal has obtained ISO 28000 certification and it has also got connected to Thailand through a new service, according to Captain  Sriram Ravichander, Chief Operating Officer. At a press meet, Ravichander said, "It is a double whammy for us. We have the ISO 28000 certificate from the Indian Register Quality Systems (IRQS), Mumbai, and it is the first time an organisation in Andhra Pradesh has got the certificate.
